Materials and Technical Specifications

Main structure: Solid beech wood. Beech wood is one of the most resistant Italian noble wood types. It is grown in intensive cultivation and its use in our industry does not cause any harm to Italian natural resources. Other woods are available on demand.

Nickel and Chromium Free: Pilatech has chosen to get rid of all components which can induce allergic reactions.

Metallic structure: The main metallic structure is made of stainless steel INOX. The final satin-finish improves the aesthetic aspect and gives the frame a shiny look. These processes do not influence or weaken the steel structure. Welding procedures are carried out according to the TIG method, an advanced technology that guarantees high mechanical resistance standard.

Special metallic structure: Pins, joints, wheels, accessories and other components have been developed and created to guarantee the highest mechanical resistance to different influences and stresses.

Plastic and rubber spare parts: All these components are produced with certified materials that do not contain toxic, allergenic or irritating substances. Polilatex, our padding material, is the most innovative synthetic polyurethane. It is hypoallergenic, transpiring, doesn’t deform and eco-friendly. Being the results of long and constant research, its environmentally friendly water-based and CFC-free composition allows air circulation, best humidity and temperature level and a good ergonomic support.

Upholstery: Both synthetic leather and upholstery have been chosen and created to be highly comfortable during the exercises. They are produced according to industry standards and are highly resistant and durable. Upholstery is available in a wide range of different colours.

Warnishing: Water-based varnish, gloss 15, transparent, finished with finest grains for anti-scratch finish. Like any Pilatech equipment, varnishing is carried out with water-based products respecting the highest quality standards in terms of non toxic and eco-friendly varnishing. The quality ensures that the colours won’t fade and the wood remains constant and pleasant to the touch. Tests have been carried out to check resistance to wear and to guarantee an optimal anti-scratch level.
