Description
The Chair CS is equipped with two handles wich slide into their support tubes and can be fixed in different heights.
The supporting tubes are made of stainless steel AISI 304, as are all metallic parts of the Pilatech equipment, while the handles are covered by soft plastic material to allow a better grip for the hands during exercising.
Features
The release piston pin renders changing the position of the handles fast and easy and prevent any accidental slipping out.
The padded cover can be removed to use the rigid surface lying under it.
It shows some evident lines in a 45° angle which help aligning a patient's feet correctly.
As all Pilatech manufactured equipment, the Chair is treated with a water-based varnish and scratch-resistant finish.
Even the Chair obtained TÜV-GS certificates.
A it of History
The Chair certainly is one of the ancestors among home-fitness equipment.
The name was born out of the vivid imagination and practical sense of J.H. Pilates who transformed a piece of furniture in something that could be used to do some gymnastics.
In the original version the Chair, when closed, resembled nothing else than a simple armchair but once open and turned upside-down revealed its function with a mobile platform and springs to regulate resistance.
Today the chair developed into proper studio equipment and allows working on a patient's posture, balance and muscular strengthening.
The Chair training programme includes exercises in upright standing positions, seated, supine and prone positions.
